John Breckenridge

CEO

John is a Senior Managing Director and Head of the Clean Energy Infrastructure team. He has over 17 years of direct private equity investing experience, preceded by over 18 years of operations management. Prior to joining Capital Dynamics, John was a managing partner at Bregal Energy, where he led a team exclusively focused on power generation and natural gas-focused investments. Prior to that he spent six years as a partner at CCMP Capital in Tokyo (formerly JP Morgan Partners) where he invested in energy and industrial opportunities. John also served as Chief Operating Officer at Densei Lambda KK, a publicly-traded Japanese corporation with eight factories located around the world and over 4,000 employees. Earlier in his career he led several large divisions of Invensys and Exide Electronics in the US and held positions in engineering, sales and general management at AT&T, and StraforFacom SA. John holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont.

Andrew Heinle

EVP of Origination

Andrew has over 20 years of energy trading and management experience. Prior to joining us, Andrew was Manager of Origination at Tenaska Power Services for 7 years where he was instrumental in building out their WECC energy trading and management business.

Prior to Tenaska, he held positions at Black Hills Power and Midwest ISO. Andrew holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Tiago Sabino Dias

EVP Development

Tiago has over 10 years of clean energy experience. Prior to joining Capital Dynamics, he held positions in the development and M&A team, as well as asset management, in Contour Global – a LSE listed IPP with focus on emerging markets and Europe. Tiago has also worked in an independent engineering company in Brazil, focused on hydropower feasibility studies and design. He has developed projects in three continents with experience in the full spectrum of renewable technologies. Tiago holds Bachelor’s degrees in Civil and Industrial Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC).

Mike Grunow

EVP Energy Storage

Mike brings over 15 years of experience in the renewable energy and energy storage industry to the team. Prior to joining Arevon Development Co., he lead global sales and marketing for a leading energy storage technology manufacturer. Earlier in his career, Mike held executive leadership roles for the world’s largest manufacturers of solar panels (Trina Solar) and wind turbines (General Electric). Grunow graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and received his MBA in Finance from Columbia University.

Benoit Allehaut

Benoit is a Managing Director with the Clean Energy Infrastructure team at Capital Dynamics in New York. He has 20 years of energy and infrastructure finance experience, spanning across Europe and North America. Prior to joining Capital Dynamics, Benoit held project development and financing positions at BlackRock, First Solar, General Electric and Compact Power. He began his career in the French Foreign Service and started in the energy sector at SIIF Energies which became EDF EN and then as a regulatory affairs analyst at Enron Europe.

Tim Short

Tim is a Managing Director on the Clean Energy Infrastructure team. He has over 14 years of energy-related experience. Prior to joining Capital Dynamics, Tim held positions at UBS Investment Bank within the global power and utilities team and at Greentech Capital Advisors as an investment banking associate. He has also worked as a climate change advisor to the former Australian Federal Minister for the Environment. His involvement with clean energy began as a junior process engineer at BP Solar (Australia) and CSG Solar (Australia). Tim holds bachelor's degrees in Commerce (Finance) and Engineering (Photovoltaics and Solar Energy), from the University of New South Wales and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Justin Johnson

Justin is the President of CD Arevon. He has over 17 years of energy and operations experience. Prior to joining us, Justin was at EDP Renewables for over 10 years where he held a variety of roles ranging from Turbine Procurement, Director of Asset Management, Director of Performance Management and Director of Development/Construction.

Prior to EDPR, he served as an officer in the US Air Force for 7 years in engineering and project management roles. Justin holds a Bachelor's degree in Operations Research from the US Air Force Academy and an MBA from Babson College.
